Our Vision

Gender sensitive, inclusive and resilient communities

CGCDZ is a non-governmental organization which was legally registered and established on the 1st of September 2016((Trust Number: MIS 0001171) and later on transformed to register as a Private Voluntary Organization(PVO 88/23).CGCDZ's mandate is to uplift and improve the living conditions of poor and marginalized communities (men, women and youths) with a special focus on women in projects utilizing local resources through sustainable livelihoods, education, health, climate change, justice and adaptation, gender and social inclusion.

CGCDZ as a gender sensitive organization focuses mostly on women and girls recognizing that they are the key drivers of economic growth mostly in emerging market economies, Zimbabwe included. CGCDZ takes community centred and community led initiatives as the basis for all interventions and livelihood activities. This enables the initiatives to contribute towards mainstream development processes. CGCDZ has established a Community Entrepreneural Research and Development Centre as a hub for community and other stakeholders' learning and knowledge exchange hub. The centre  provide market linkages for our community partners’ products and skills and also act as an income generating facility for the organization through provision of conference and boarding facilities.

CGCDZ realizes and understands that it does not have all the technical, financial and human skills to accomplish its mandate and therefore places great importance on the development and nurturing of partnerships at community, districts, provincial, national and international levels. This enables the organization to take advantage of the competencies and experiences of other organizations to achieve maximum impact in its interventions. The organization is operating in Bikita, Chivi, Masvingo and Zaka districts of Masvingo province.
